Spectator Tickets and Merchandise
Information and Policies
Spectator Tickets
PURCHASING INDIVIDUAL TICKETS ONLINE
Note this applies to ticket orders purchased directly via our Web Store â these orders are considered âindividualâ even if there is more than 1 ticket on the order.
Spectator tickets are available for purchase from our Web Store up until online sales close, which is usually about a week prior to the event. After this time, the only way to purchase spectator tickets will be on-the-door, subject to availability.
Purchased tickets are delivered via email immediately upon completion of the transaction. Please check your email and keep that email safe! If you do not receive the email confirmation, please email [email protected] for assistance.
If your email is received but the email is in any way not appearing correctly (e.g. barcode/QR code not showing, etc) please DO NOT contact Legacy â provided you have the email confirming ticket purchase and/or a Paypal receipt, this will be adequate and we can look you up in our system.
In order to access the Event, you will need to collect a wristband on arrival at the venue. You should show your ticket (either on your device or printed) to Legacy Event Staff in the Box Office or outside the main entrance and they will record your collection and issue you the relevant wristbands.
Please note that ticket orders of multiple tickets must be collected in one go. We cannot âholdâ tickets for other members of your group to collect later. If your group are arriving separately, you will need to make your own arrangements for the first person to distribute the issued wristbands accordingly.
ATHLETES DON'T NEED SPECTATOR TICKETS
One of the beautiful benefits of competing at Legacy Cheer and Dance is that we invest in world class venues with plenty of seating… so athletes do NOT need to purchase spectator tickets on their non-compete days.
At Legacy Cheer and Dance, athletes get in all weekend and do not need to purchase a spectator ticket if they wish to attend on their non-compete day.
However, wristbands must remain on their wrist all weekend and may not be tampered with in any way. Wristbands that are torn, damaged or taped back on will not be accepted for entry. Replacement wristbands will incur a fee at the cost of on-the-door spectator entry prices.
NOTE: This policy is subject to change at any point during the season, as per venue requirements.
PLACING GROUP ORDERS VIA GYM/PROGRAMME
When ticket sales are open, group orders may be placed HERE.
Group ticket orders must be received and paid in full prior to the pre-order deadline. These orders can only be made by the Programme Representative and should be placed as one single order.
Group ticket orders trigger an option/recommendation to issue payment by BACS. We appreciate teams with group orders paying in this fashion instead of via PayPal to ease the tracking systems and fees. Thank you in advance.
By default, group order wristbands will be available for collection as a package from the Coach Check-In Desk at the competition. If you instead wish to have these posted in advance, you must pre-order wristband postage along with your Group Order.
Note that only Group Orders are eligible for postage. We cannot post individual spectator wristbands.
Deadline: You must complete your Group Order (+ Postage order, if applicable) at least 30 days prior to the event.
POSTAGE OF GROUP ORDERS
Coaches who wish to have their athlete and/or Group Order spectator wristbands posted to them in advance of the event must order this specifically as part of their group ticket order.Â
Group tickets and postage may be ordered HERE.
Deadline: You must place your Postage order at least 30 days prior to the event. Postage is optional, if you choose not to pay for postage or if you miss the deadline, your Group Order will be waiting for you at Coach Check-In on event day.
OPTION TO POST ATHLETE WRISTBANDS IN ADVANCE
By default, Athlete Wristbands will be available for collection as a package from the Coach Check-In Desk at the competition. If you instead wish to have these posted in advance, you must pre-order wristband postage at least 30 days prior to the event. When ticket sales are open, you can order postage for athlete wristbands, HERE.
Deadline: Remember, you must complete your postage order at least 30 days prior to the event. These orders can only be made by the Programme Representative and should be placed as one single order.Â
CHANGING GROUP TICKET ORDERS
Changes to Group Ticket orders are not possible.
If you have ordered too many tickets, you can sell these privately and make your own arrangements to pass the wristband to the purchaser via your own methods – Legacy will not get involved in this process and we do not issue refunds.
If you have not ordered enough tickets, you should ask your guests to buy individual tickets, via our online Legacy Shop prior to them closing. Online sales close a week prior to the event. If you had a Frequent Flyer discount applied to your Group Order, these discounts are no longer eligible for those who did not submit into the first team order.
If you have ordered the wrong tickets (e.g. Saturday instead of Sunday), you should issue the incorrect wristbands to the individual spectators, but ask them to NOT attach it. If they bring an un-used, un-attached wristband to Legacy staff in the Ticketing Office, they will exchange the incorrect wristband for the correct one.
Note that used, damaged, lost, stolen, or left behind wristbands are not refundable nor replaceable, so treat it like cash.
CHANGES TO INDIVIDUAL TICKETS PURCHASED
If you have purchased a ticket for the wrong day – don’t worry! As each spectator ticket order can only be collected one time, we can easily facilitate you swapping your tickets with ease.
If you purchased Sunday but need Saturday tickets – just show up on Saturday and tell the Legacy Staff at Box Office that you want to exchange your tickets. They will issue you Saturday wristbands and mark the order as collected, so that no further wristbands can be issued, even on Sunday.
If you purchased Saturday but need Sunday tickets – just show up on Sunday and provided the order has not been marked as collected, then Legacy Staff will be able to see that the ticket is still valid and will therefore issue you with Sunday wristbands.
You do not need to contact Legacy in advance to arrange these swaps – just show up on the correct day with confirmation of your purchase and we will assist you on site.
CANCELLATION/TRANSFER OF INDIVIDUAL SPECTATOR TICKETS
Spectator tickets purchased online are non-refundable.
However, you may transfer your purchased ticket order to someone else attending the same event. To do so, simply forward your original ticket order confirmation email to the person you wish to transfer the ticket(s) to and CC: [email protected] so we have the details. They will then be able to use your entry ticket details to collect the wristband(s) at the door. Any exchange of money for the tickets is up to you both to arrange privately.
Note that you cannot transfer part of an order – if you forward the email confirmation to someone else, they will be eligible to collect the whole order. Each ticket order can only be collected one time. Once a ticket order has been collected, it is digitally marked in our system and no further wristbands will be issued for that order.
Ticket barcodes/QR codes are only able to be scanned once.
DISCOUNTS ON GROUP ORDERS
If your Programme is eligible for discounts on Spectator tickets, via the Frequent Flyer discount programme, simply place your order as normal, then email us at [email protected] and ask us to apply your discount. We will send you an updated invoice to pay from that reflects the discount you have earned on tickets.
ONLINE ORDERS FOR PARTIES ARRIVING SEPERATELY
The barcoded email/ticket only enables you to collect all wristbands in the order at one time. It is not possible to scan the barcode multiple times, nor can our staff ‘hold’ wristbands for attendees arriving later. So, the person(s) arriving first in your party should have the email/barcode and then make personal arrangements to distribute the rest of the wristbands to the rest of their party.
If your party are all arriving separately and you do not wish to co-ordinate in this way, we strongly recommend each party members purchases their ticket individually.
CARER TICKETS
Athletes' Carers
Legacy Cheer and Dance permits free carer tickets on a 1-1 basis for all athletes in need who are competing on CheerAbilities, DanceAbilities and/or Adaptive Abilities teams.
Legacy will automatically coordinate with the team coach for these allocated tickets. Other spectators beyond the carer will need to purchase their own tickets.
If an athlete requires additional support full time throughout the duration of the day in which the carer may not depart from the athlete’s immediate presence, but the athlete is NOT competing on a CheerAbilities, DanceAbilities or Adaptive Abilities team, we will work with you to determine if you meet criteria for elevated access to areas not otherwise available for spectators. If you believe you meet this criteria and need additional access in the venue to remain with seeing distance of your athlete at all times, we can coordinate with you and the team coach for this access as a carer, free of charge.
Note, if an athlete requires or prefers their parent/carer to be in the building but they do not need to remain side-by-side with them at all times, then a regular spectator ticket will suffice, since they will be attending the event anyway. Of course, if there is any emergency, the security team and Legacy Cheer and Dance staff will always allow parents/carers to reach the athlete as needed in that instance without delay.
Spectators' Carers
If you are attending a Legacy Cheer and Dance event as a carer for a spectator who would otherwise be restricted from attending the event without you, and your sole reason for attending is to assist this person, we offer a discounted spectator ticket for this type of carer, purchasable on the door only.
The spectator themselves should purchase a regular ticket, either in advance or on the door, and the carer is eligible for a half price ticket in this instance. Simply visit the Legacy Cheer and Dance box office when you arrive.
LOST/DAMAGED WRISTBANDS
Wristbands should be treated like cash! If you lose or damage your wristband, we cannot replace it for you. You may purchase a new Spectator ticket (subject to availability) in order to get a new wristband.
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP
Please note that payments, deadlines, and all associated policies related to Group Spectator Ticket purchases are considered transactions (and thus a contractual relationship between) between Legacy Cheer and Dance and the Programme Owner, Head Coach, or Appointed Representative. Legacy Cheer and Dance cannot, therefore, enter into any negotiations regarding fees, discounts, credits or refunds from anyone other than the Programme/Gym representative with whom we have a business contract. Likewise, any credits issued must be appointed to the individual/organisation who made the initial payment, and any refunds returned back to the original form of payment made. Individuals/Parents wanting to discuss fees/discounts/credits/refunds should approach their Programme/Gym representative directly and not Legacy Cheer and Dance.
Rules & Behaviour at Events
EVENT SECURITY AND SAFETY
All attendees at Legacy Cheer and Dance events are expected to fully cooperate with venue staff, security teams, medical teams and event staff at all times.
Venue security is to be treated respectfully and patiently. Any comments or ‘jokes’ about safety or security of the event or persons will be treated as a direct threat in all circumstances and the patron(s) will be immediately removed without refund, and possible police intervention.
Venue security policies vary slightly from venue to venue, so be sure to check what is allowed/not allowed for your event in advance. These policies are set and enforced by the venue and security teams, not by Legacy Cheer and Dance. Whilst we try to pass on all related information via coach updates and spectator packs in advance, if you have any question or need clarification, please visit the venue website or phone them directly.
Absolutely no alcohol can be brought into Legacy Cheer and Dance events. Persons attempting to enter a Legacy Cheer and Dance event with alcohol will have it confiscated by the security team. Persons trying to enter whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be denied entry in all cases, without refund.
SPORTSMANSHIP AND SPECTATOR GUIDELINES
At Legacy Cheer and Dance, we believe your outward behaviour is a direct reflection of your own personal brand. It is what you stand for. It is important to recognise that spectator, athlete, and coach behaviour at an event is also a reflection on your programme’s brand. Therefore, Sportsmanship is an expectation at all Legacy Cheer & Dance events. Coaches, athletes, and parents must conduct themselves in ways that honour the sport, the gym/school/programme, their coach, and themselves.
Participants and patrons must refrain from public negative discussion about individuals or programmes. Remember, what is said in the seats, hallways, public areas and online (anonymously or not) is heard by those you are speaking to AND those who you do not realize can hear you. Someone’s parents, cousins, friends, teammate, or otherwise hear what you are saying, so make it positive and kind…or simply opt to remain quiet out of respect and protection of your own reputation and/or your gym brand.
The coach for each squad is ultimately responsible for their squad members, coaches, parents and other persons affiliated with the programme to conduct themselves in an orderly fashion. It is HIGHLY recommended that coaches regularly train athletes, coaching staff, and parents about event conduct and social media policy/expectations for the gym / school / programme. Social media is permanent even after it is deleted. Legacy Cheer & Dance will not monitor this directly during events but WILL expect that participating teams and their supporters conduct themselves online with positive social media interaction only.
- All participants and coaching staff members must refrain from using inappropriate language or gestures.
- Participating programmes must refrain from using music that contains inappropriate language.
- Participating programmes must refrain from handing out gym marketing material or recruiting athletes or coaches in any fashion (verbally, in writing, or otherwise) at all Legacy Cheer & Dance events.
NOTE: Legacy Cheer and Dance will not delay an awards session or division in the event of a dispute or complaint arising on sportsmanship topics. We MAY assist in navigating such issues, but please do remember your own roles and responsibilities in making this sport great.
Positive Sportsmanship is a very important aspect of the Legacy Cheer and Dance culture, including athletes, coaches, parents, and supporters. It has a direct impact on the overall competition experience for everyone in attendance as well as the overall public impression of our industry. Have fun, be cool, and be kind to each other.
PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY
Photo and video capture is part of our everyday lives. We believe it is an important part of capturing precious memories with friends and loved ones, including in sport and at Legacy Cheer and Dance events, however to ensure the safety of the young people present at our events, we do have some restrictions on photography at our events.
The following photo policy is in effect at all Legacy events:
Legacy Cheer and Dance and it's security teams DO allow for non-commercial pictures and videos only to be taken at Legacy Cheer and Dance events, within the following limitations:
- On arena floor level at all of our events, the ONLY cameras permitted, without an official Legacy Media Pass, are mobile phone cameras or tablet devices with built in cameras.
- Anyone using DSLR, digital cameras, zoom lense cameras, video cameras, etc, must obtain and be wearing at all times a valid Legacy Media Pass.
- Per strict venue contracts, standard Child Protection policies, and Legacy Cheer and Dance policies, commercial photography/video of any kind outside the designated provider (Aspire Photography) is strictly prohibited.
- Individuals representing themselves or any company may not take photos/videos of athletes for the purposes of selling them during or after an event. Persons and/or companies may not sell or distribute in trade photos that they took at a Legacy Cheer and Dance event either on-site or at any time after the event via social media, emails, or any other format in perpetuity.
- Violating this policy can render penalties including but not limited to removal from the event by security teams without refund or recourse, being banned from future events without recourse, and potential legal action or financial penalties.
Bottom line: Simply taking pictures for your own purposes on your phone and/or sending pictures to your friends from your phone is fine, but photos/videos taken by spectators, athletes, coaches, or anyone at a Legacy Cheer and Dance event may not be sold at any time. Please report violations to [email protected].
At all times, Legacy Cheer and Dance and it's venue team and security teams reserve the right to request inspection of images on any camera for any reason, including for the purposes of discernment and measurement against our Child Protection Policy. Shall any audience member witness another photographing athletes or anyone in any questionable format that is potentially un-related to normal practices in capturing memories of the day, there is an obligation to report any potential threat to any Legacy Cheer and Dance staff member, a hired security person, and/or the event directors. Upon inspection of photos in a questionable scenario, if any are deemed inappropriate, outside of the scope of the sport, a threat to health and safety, or a potential violation of the child protection policy at the sole discretion of the Head of Security or the Legacy Cheer and Dance Event Manager, the photos will be immediately deleted. We reserve the right to simply ask that the camera be put away for the remainder of the event, and we also reserve the right to remove the person from the event entirely, or to call authorities in extreme situations.
